is it important to use "jehovah"?
or should it be yahweh?
This always bothered me, if I called my father by his first name it would be considered disrespectful. Even in his old age I dont call him by his first name. He's Dad. The witnoids always said it was more intimate to call God Jehovah instead of Father. It seemed wierd to me to call Him by His name and not Father.
Could be my culture, but it seems ass backwards.

J.R.Brown, I am astounded at his statements. Like a true PR man he is a lying son of a gun. He would say whatever it took to get you to go easy on the Society in a story. Honestly, thank you for this. It further convinces me that these people are among the most twofaced people in the world.
Absolutley amazing. He had me wondering if I was ever in the same religion as he is. He is a universalist and not a JW. Whew!

i heard a knock on my door this morning and it was a black lady with my invite to the assembly.
i thanked her and she left with out any further comments.
i really don't understand why they are doing this.
Remember, thier charter says they are a Bible and TRACT Society. No one counts the little ones, (tracts) so this campaign and others like it make it official. And let's face it, nothing stirs the troups like hand delivering a message from God to your neighbors!

ok the first time i thought it was pretty cool how they applied every little scripture to themselves.
i sat rapt with my young children while we discussed wonderful things to come.
the second time i was like...where's my old book with all the notes in the margins, im not looking all this sh-t up again!.

Did you ever notice that most all the prophecys were fulfilled in the 1920's and 30's? Fascinating how these things that are destined to occur all happened in the early part of last century and only the big wrap up is left for our day..... or is it for one in the next hundred years? is the watchtower organization filled with child molesters?
maybe not - but the cano incident should make us think about an allied problem,.
namely, general corruption and rot.. many years ago, it was not unknown to find strange photos and other materials in a bethel brother's room, after he died unexpectedly.. that doesn't prove that there is a massive problem with child molestation.

well, i broke it to my super devout parents that after this i don't believe there is any reason why i should trust any 'brother' i don't know around my kids.. no way, no how!.
they had to admit this was pretty shocking and enlightening but they still ended up making excuses.
the society will soon have to drop the 'we are better than everyone else' argument for sure.
A dear friend of mine who's daughter was molested by her own father, (not a JW) commented about Cano, "He probably had it done to him, but that doesn't make it ok for him to do it to others. He's gonna be real sorry now that they have him. I don't feel sorry for him. He'll pay for what he's done." No excuses were made, no denying he's a predator and no BS about him not really being a witness. I don't think the Society will do what you say. They are not responsible for his actions, (unless of course he were slapped on the wrist for this before... if he were I'm sure they would have sent him home from Bethel) and then I hope someone else ends up with the Farm!!!

let me first state that i'm not fully impressed with this mans presentation to the witness and that it would be far from effective if used on any hard core jw.

Everyone is saying that the WTS is saying he's not a real witnoid? Is this quoted from somewhere or is it speculation? He is a definite Bethel freaky boy. IF there are other victims they will come forth with publicity like this. If it were swept under the rug, it might be just what the lawyers ordered to go after the Dark Empire.
